| dc.description.abstract | In these programmatic essays on personality and identity, the author deals with fundamental problems of socialization research. One every recurring problem is the fit of theory and research methods. Wittgenstein's dictum seems to be still valid: both run passed each other 'windschief' (bend by a storm). The author discusses the problems of quantitative psychological and sociological methodologies, which often implies an view of human action which is outdated from a modern theoretical point of view. He presents a quantitative-experimental approach to research which allows one to assess cognitive-structural aspects of human action without digressing to intuitive methods which are constraint by many observation biases. | eng |

| kops.description.abstract | In den programmatischen Aufsätzen über Persönlichkeit und Identität in der (Hochschul-) Sozialisationsforschung wird vielfach auf Probleme ihrer Grundlagen eingegangen. Ein immer wiederkehrendes Problem ist die Passung von Theorie und Forschungsmethode. Hier gilt noch immer Wittgensteins Diktum, dass beide 'windschief' aneinander vorbeigehen. Es werden die Probleme der quantitativen psychologischen und soziologische Methodologie diskutiert, die sich implizit oft an einem Menschenbild orientiert, dass in der Theoriebildung längst überholt ist Es wird ein quantifizierender, experimenteller Forschungsansatz dargestellt, der es erlaubt, kognitiv-strukturelle Merkmale von einzelnen Personen zu erfassen, ohne auf intuitive, mit vielerlei Beobachtereffekte belastete Methoden auszuweichen. | deu |
