Here, we report the successful amplification of eight microsatellite loci in the European blackbird. We compared levels of polymorphism between groups of individuals sampled during the breeding season at different geographic localities (Heligoland Island, North Sea and Radolfzell, south-western Germany). We found high levels of polymorphisms, which enabled us to ascertain population membership of individuals. The properties of the tested microsatellite markers make them suitable for population genetic studies as well as for kinship analyses.</dcterms:abstract> <dspace:isPartOfCollection rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/28"/> <dc:rights>Attribution 4.0 International</dc:rights> <dc:creator>Coppack, Timothy</dc:creator> <dc:creator>Sacher, Thomas</dc:creator> <dc:contributor>Woitsch, Sonja</dc:contributor> <dcterms:isPartOf rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/28"/> <dc:creator>Schwarzenberger, Anke</dc:creator> <dc:creator>Bairlein, Franz</dc:creator> <dc:date rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2022-09-16T09:23:37Z</dc:date> <dc:language>eng</dc:language> <dc:contributor>Sacher, Thomas</dc:contributor> <foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://localhost:8080/jspui"/> <dcterms:available rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2022-09-16T09:23:37Z</dcterms:available> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/"/> <void:sparqlEndpoint rdf:resource="http://localhost/fuseki/dspace/sparql"/> <dc:contributor>Bairlein, Franz</dc:contributor> <bibo:uri rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/handle/123456789/58641"/> <dc:creator>Segelbacher, Gernot</dc:creator> <dcterms:issued>2008-01</dcterms:issued> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
