A bio-inspired system showed the feasibility of Cope rearrangement to the C-4 position of the indole nucleus. The tricyclic benzo[cd]indole core of welwitindolinones and dragmacidin E was synthesized using this transformation.</dcterms:abstract> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
