| dc.description.abstract | A brief systematic history of main problems while developing a philosophical theory of semantics during the twentieth century. The consideration starts with Frege and gives a representative overview over important thoughts about problems like the informativity of identity statements, meaning of empty names, negative propositions of existence, twin-earth-scenarios and some other. The focus lies on the discussion of the arguments Putnam states in his text "The Meaning of 'Meaning'" and some strategies against these arguments. The historical consideration ends with Robert Stalnaker's two-dimensional semantics. | eng |

| kops.description.abstract | Eine kurze systematische Geschichte der Hauptprobleme der philosophischen Bedeutungstheorie im Laufe des 20. Jahrhunderts. Der Text versucht eine systematische Darstellung der Problemgeschichte philosophischer Semantik von Frege bis zur zweidimensionalen Semantik Robert Stalnakers aus den späten Achtziger Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts. Diskutiert werden einige der bedeutenden Positionen zu Problemen wie der Informativität von Identitätssätzen, der Referenz leerer Namen, dem Status negativer Existenzsätze und den "Twin-Earth"-Szenarien. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Darstellung der Argumente, die sich auf Putnams Position in "The Meaning of 'Meaning'" beziehen. Es wird gezeigt, wie die einzelnen Probleme im Laufe der Zeit schärfer beschrieben und zum Teil gelöst werden konnten. | deu |
