Zusammenfassung

The foreign lesion: DNAs with damage generated, for example, by UV light are not good targets for standard replicative DNA polymerases. A DNA polymerase has been derived by directed evolution that faithfully amplifies light-damaged DNA. Interestingly, a single mutation is sufficient for this property
