Zusammenfassung
Kathryn Bigelow’s film Zero Dark Thirty, released in 2012, is the reference for five different readings with different theoretical focuses. Every reading of the film represents a different theoretical approach provided by a quite common media theory in order to conceptualize the idea of ‘vigilance.’ The article tries to bring together two scientific discourses which are usually separated and do not share a common ground : media theory and concepts of historiography. The concept of ‘vigilance’ allows investigation of how media theories may be considered a new perspective for historiographical issues.
