dc.description.abstractAround 1550-1551 a whole series of romanceros appears, more or less directly related to the Cancionero de romances, printed some years earlier (1546-1547) by Martín Nucio in Antwerp. Starting from this date, the present work offers a possible explanation for the relative delay of these editions, relating them to the late reception of Nucio’s work in the context of Prince Philip’s trip to Flanders. The chronological sequence of these editions is then discussed, placing them in the specific editorial context of their appearance.spa
