This bacholor thesis deals with two network text analysis methods, Centering Resonance Analysis and Word-Network Analysis. These automated methods have certain weaknesses caused by the ambiguity of natural language, escpecially concerning the treatment of synonyms and homographs. Thus, these network text analysis methods were extended by procedures for data pre-processing and post-processing.
Some aspects in the field of natural language processing are addressed, particularly parsing of natural language as it is used for Centering Resonance Analysis. Further, several centrality indices and their application in network text analysis are discussed.
Zusammenfassung in einer weiteren Sprache
Diese Bachelorarbeit befasst sich mit zwei Verfahren der Netzwerk-Textanalyse, der Centering Resonance Analysis und der Word-Network Analysis. Diese automatischen Verfahren weisen aufgrund der Ambiguität der natürlichen Sprache einige Schwächen auf, insbesondere im Umgang mit Synonymen und Homographen. Um diese Probleme zu beheben wurden die beiden Netzwerk-Textanalyse Verfahren um Methoden der Datenvorverarbeitung und Datennachbearbeitung erweitert.
Einige Aspekte der für die Centering Resonance Analysis benötigten maschinellen Sprachverarbeitung, wie das Parsen natürlicher Sprache, werden erläutert. Des Weiteren werden verschiedene Zentralitätsindizes und ihre Anwendung bei der Analyse der Textnetzwerke betrachtet.
