Zusammenfassung

The objects of the present investigation are polynomials in non-commuting variables that have nonnegative trace under all matrix evaluations. Questions on the representability as a sum of hermitian squares are considered as well as the corresponding dual problem, the tracial moment problem.

Zusammenfassung in einer weiteren Sprache

Gegenstand der vorliegenden Untersuchung sind Polynome in nicht-kommutierenden Variablen, deren Spur unter allen Matrix-Auswertungen stets nichtnegativ ist. Hierbei werden Fragen der Darstellbarkeit als Summe hermitescher Quadrate sowie das entsprechende duale Problem, das spurige Momentenproblem, behandelt.
