Zusammenfassung
We have investigated multielectron bubbles in liquid 4He, which develop when the charged helium surface undergoes an electrohydrodynamic instability. Well-defined bubbles with charges ranging from 10 5 to 10 7 electrons are easily generated. Oscillations and fissioning of the bubbles are reported, and a new upper limit on their lifetime is set.
