Abstract
Following up on her previous promotion of the genre of the short short story for analysis in teaching (Short Short Stories: An Anthology, 1983; Short Short Stories: Analyses and Additional Material, 1985), Reingard M. Nischik offers a second compilation of short short fiction. This time, the focus rests more specifically on American and Canadian short short stories, as the genre is of particular importance in American literature and Canadian literature. Next to the stories themselves, the book also provides short author biographies and a glossary of literary terms.
