An explaination of the study sample, study protocol and the specific parameters can be found in the corresponding study: "Spatiotemporal modulation of a common set of muscle synergies during unpredictable and predictable gait perturbations in older adults" by Brüll et al., 2024 in the Journal of Experimental Biology. Each of the 40 provided CSV-files includes the data of one specific parameter in long format:
CS=cosine similarity
COA=center of activity of the activation patterns of the muscle synergies
FWHM=full width at half maximum of the activation patterns of the muscle synergies
Syn1=weight acceptance synergy
Syn2=propulsion synergy
Syn3=early swing synergy
Syn4=late swing synergy
ap=condition that included anteroposterior perturbations
ml=condition that included mediolateral perturbations Each CSV-file includes the following 4 columns:
subject=includes the specific ID number of the 63 included participants
condition=includes one of the 4 different conditions (a combination of unpredictable/predictalbe and mediolateral/anteroposterior)
cycles=includes one of the 12 consecutive gait cycles (1-3=unperturbed walking, 4=perturbation cycle, 5-12=recovery cycles)
value=the specific parameter value for the respective combination of subject, condition and cycle
