In this paper, we demonstrate general strategies on how to obtain these nanocomposites founded on the knowledge about ordered mesoporous materials. One strategy involves the formation of the composite by performing a chemical reaction in the pores of a pre-formed ordered mesoporous silica while the other strategy uses compounds that first mold their porous environment in the silica and in a succeeding step react to the final composite. As a model system, here, we present the formation of porous silica-carbon hybrid materials. Besides this more general question, we also tackle the task of finding a suitable application for the obtained nanocomposites. We chose an application as selective solar-absorber materials.</dcterms:abstract> <dc:contributor>Antonietti, Markus</dc:contributor> <dspace:hasBitstream rdf:resource=""/> <dcterms:available rdf:datatype="">2011-03-24T18:15:00Z</dcterms:available> <dc:language>eng</dc:language> <dc:creator>Mastai, Yitzhak</dc:creator> <void:sparqlEndpoint rdf:resource="http://localhost/fuseki/dspace/sparql"/> <dc:creator>Antonietti, Markus</dc:creator> <dc:format>application/pdf</dc:format> <dc:contributor>Polarz, Sebastian</dc:contributor> <dc:date rdf:datatype="">2011-03-24T18:15:00Z</dc:date> <bibo:uri rdf:resource=""/> <dc:creator>Polarz, Sebastian</dc:creator> <dcterms:bibliographicCitation>First publ. in: Advanced Functional Materials 12 (2002), 3, pp. 197-202</dcterms:bibliographicCitation> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource=""/> <foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://localhost:8080/jspui"/> <dspace:isPartOfCollection rdf:resource=""/> <dcterms:hasPart rdf:resource=""/> <dcterms:issued>2002</dcterms:issued> <dcterms:title>Silica-carbon nanocomposites : a new concept for the design of solar absorbers</dcterms:title> <dcterms:isPartOf rdf:resource=""/> <dc:contributor>Mastai, Yitzhak</dc:contributor> <dc:rights>terms-of-use</dc:rights> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
