These interface domains carrying remanent magnetization provide the bias field and are strongly influenced by the bulk. The stable part of the spin configurations at the interface, which is responsible for exchange bias, is identified. The stability analysis of the interface domains leads to an explanation of the nontrivial dependence of the bias field on thickness and anisotropy of the antiferromagnet.</dcterms:abstract> <dc:contributor>Usadel, Klaus-Dieter</dc:contributor> <dc:format>application/pdf</dc:format> <dc:contributor>Nowak, Ulrich</dc:contributor> <dc:rights>deposit-license</dc:rights> <dc:language>eng</dc:language> <dcterms:title>Structure of domains in an exchange-bias model</dcterms:title> <dcterms:bibliographicCitation>First publ. in: Journal of Applied Physics 95 (2004), 3, pp.1357-1363</dcterms:bibliographicCitation> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
