After zero field cooling below the critical temperature, an external magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the film. In order to study the flux penetration on a nanosecond timescale a single pulse of a fs-laser has been used. The laser pulse is focused with a cylindrical lense onto the film from the substrate side of the sample. Hereby a line with a width of 50 µm is heated, deviding the sample into two rectangular superconducting regions with equal size. Snapshots of the flux moving into the sample are recorded with a part of the trigger pulse separated by a beam splitter.
