The aim of this work was to check, if the abscisic acid (ABA) has an influence in the plant Ajuga reptans L. at the synthesis of oligosaccharides of the raffinosefamily (RFOs) and / or on the frost resistance of the plant.<br />Therefore the whole plants also the kallus- and cellsuspension culture have been examined. The concentrations of carbohydrates (KH), the activities of two RFO biosyntheses-enzymes (raffinose synthase, RafS; galactan:galactan-galactosyltransferase, GGT) and the frost resistance of the plants as a function from culture temperature and ABA treatment concentration has been detected.<br />It could be recognised, that the ABA has no influence on the RFO syntheses at Ajuga reptans. Only the temperature of the culture condition showed an effect. The activities of RafS and GGT from plants which have been treated with ABA have no statistically difference to the control plants. But we could change the enzyme activities with different temperature (22°C and 3°C/8°C) in the culture condition. The frost resistance of Ajuga reptans was higher on cold adapted plants as on warm holded plants. An ABA treatment couldn t change the frost resistance. The RFO concentrations of cold adapted plants (3°C/8°C) was similar with warm holded plants (22°C). A correlation between RFO concentrations and frost resistance could not be shown exactely.<br />A detectable influence of ABA on the RFO syntheses and also on the frost resistance could not be proofed. 2011-03-24T17:35:32Z deu
