Under the same conditions, arylsulfatase activity in P. putida and S. aureus was seen to increase by up to 140-fold, suggesting that the proteins induced under these conditions may be involved in sulfur metabolism. We propose that these proteins are members of a sulfate starvation-induced stimulon.</dcterms:abstract> <dcterms:bibliographicCitation>First publ. in: Journal of Bacteriology 175 (1993), 4, pp. 1187-1190</dcterms:bibliographicCitation> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
