Abstract
We discuss the structure of the α-peak in some high molecular weight polymers. A double α-peak phenomenon appears as a generic feature of the mode coupling theory related to the self crossing of transition hypersurfaces. A schematic three component model is solved to fit quantitatively dielectric loss spectra of poly propylene glycol.
