We report here a straightforward synthesis of phosphinephenolate Ni(II) catalysts endowed permanently with a hydrophilic sulfonate moiety bound to the chelating ligand. These catalysts' hydrophilic active sites promote aqueous ethylene polymerization with high activity (TOF up to 6.3 × 10 4 mol Ethylene mol Ni -1 h -1 ) to high molecular weight polyethylene (HDPE), with half-lives on the order of hours also at elevated temperatures. The obtained polyethylene dispersions feature narrow particle size distributions without any aggregates.</dcterms:abstract> <foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://localhost:8080/jspui"/> <dcterms:title>Hydrophilic Catalysts with High Activity and Stability in Aqueous Polymerization to High Molecular Weight Polyethylene</dcterms:title> <dcterms:hasPart rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/57434/1/Lin_2-lsiqn3gewr2p5.pdf"/> <dcterms:isPartOf rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/29"/> <bibo:uri rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/handle/123456789/57434"/> <dcterms:issued>2022-07-04</dcterms:issued> <dspace:hasBitstream rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/57434/1/Lin_2-lsiqn3gewr2p5.pdf"/> <dc:creator>Mecking, Stefan</dc:creator> <dc:creator>Lin, Fei</dc:creator> <dc:contributor>Lin, Fei</dc:contributor> <void:sparqlEndpoint rdf:resource="http://localhost/fuseki/dspace/sparql"/> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource="https://rightsstatements.org/page/InC/1.0/"/> <dc:contributor>Mecking, Stefan</dc:contributor> <dc:rights>terms-of-use</dc:rights> <dc:date rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2022-05-05T11:08:46Z</dc:date> <dspace:isPartOfCollection rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/29"/> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
