In the recent years additional p53-mediated tumour suppression mechanisms have been described, questioning the contribution of its canonical pathway for tumour suppression. These include regulation of alternative cell death modalities (i.e. ferroptosis), cell metabolism and the emerging role in RNA stability. Here we briefly summarize our knowledge on p53 "canonical DNA damage response" and discuss the most relevant recent findings describing potential mechanistic explanation of p53-mediated tumour suppression.</dcterms:abstract> <dcterms:hasPart rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/56466/3/Panatta_2-ezke7bw0u0bi4.pdf"/> <dc:creator>Panatta, Emanuele</dc:creator> <dc:date rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2022-02-09T12:55:45Z</dc:date> <bibo:uri rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/handle/123456789/56466"/> <dcterms:title>Understanding p53 tumour suppressor network</dcterms:title> <dc:contributor>Melino, Gerry</dc:contributor> <dc:contributor>Amelio, Ivano</dc:contributor> <dc:contributor>Zampieri, Carlotta</dc:contributor> <foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://localhost:8080/jspui"/> <dcterms:issued>2021</dcterms:issued> <dc:rights>Attribution 4.0 International</dc:rights> <dspace:isPartOfCollection rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/28"/> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/"/> <dcterms:isPartOf rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/28"/> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
