I argue that this generalization emerges naturally from the Cyclic Linearization theory of spell-out, and its interaction with independently supported constraints on movement in syntax. I go on to consider some reasons why a particular position may or may not be a viable location for stranded material.</dcterms:abstract> <dc:contributor>Davis, Colin</dc:contributor> <dcterms:title>Crossing and stranding at edges : On intermediate stranding and phase theory</dcterms:title> <dcterms:issued>2020-02-28</dcterms:issued> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/"/> <dspace:isPartOfCollection rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/45"/> <dc:creator>Davis, Colin</dc:creator> <bibo:uri rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/handle/123456789/55851"/> <dcterms:isPartOf rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/45"/> <dc:rights>Attribution 4.0 International</dc:rights> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
