Wigner crystallization of two-dimensional electron systems on solid H2-films

Abstract
We have investigated the transport properties of two-dimensional electron systems (2DES) on quench-condensed hydrogen films for various electron densities up to n=1.5x 10 cm -2. In the range of the plasma parameter Γ=/ from 40 to 180 we have observed a behavior InµxΓ of the electron mobility m with a distinct transition from a smaller slope for Γ125. This signature is interpreted as the Wigner crystallization of the 2DES.
