The experimental data indicate that the clusters do not fuse to Si islands but survive as individuals. The potential-energy surface of two Si clusters is calculated and a barrier against fusion is found, in agreement with the experiments. Both findings support the existence of a form of silicon consisting of Si4 clusters.</dcterms:abstract> <dc:creator>Nielaba, Peter</dc:creator> <dc:contributor>Grass, Martin</dc:contributor> <dc:contributor>Mathes, Markus</dc:contributor> <dcterms:bibliographicCitation>First publ. in: Applied Physics Letters 81 (2002), 20, pp. 3810-3812</dcterms:bibliographicCitation> <dcterms:isPartOf rdf:resource=""/> <dc:date rdf:datatype="">2011-03-24T14:51:20Z</dc:date> <foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://localhost:8080/jspui"/> <dc:creator>Grass, Martin</dc:creator> <dcterms:available rdf:datatype="">2011-03-24T14:51:20Z</dcterms:available> <dc:rights>terms-of-use</dc:rights> <dspace:hasBitstream rdf:resource=""/> <dc:contributor>Fischer, Dominik</dc:contributor> <dc:language>eng</dc:language> <bibo:uri rdf:resource=""/> <dcterms:issued>2002</dcterms:issued> <void:sparqlEndpoint rdf:resource="http://localhost/fuseki/dspace/sparql"/> <dspace:isPartOfCollection rdf:resource=""/> <dc:contributor>Nielaba, Peter</dc:contributor> <dc:format>application/pdf</dc:format> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
