In contrast to previous research, we present evidence that working on a temporary contract lowers current job satisfaction. We discover that the honeymoon effect of a new job must be considered to reveal this result. Job insecurity appears to be the source of dissatisfaction associated with fixed-term employment. We also consider regional unemployment and perceived employment security to shed light on the basic notion of flexicurity policies. Finally, we apply a life course perspective on employment careers to discuss the overall role of temporary employment for individual job satisfaction.</dcterms:abstract> <dc:creator>Hetschko, Clemens</dc:creator> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource="https://rightsstatements.org/page/InC/1.0/"/> <dc:contributor>Chadi, Adrian</dc:contributor> <dcterms:title>Flexibilization without hesitation? : Temporary contracts and job satisfaction</dcterms:title> <foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://localhost:8080/jspui"/> <void:sparqlEndpoint rdf:resource="http://localhost/fuseki/dspace/sparql"/> <dcterms:issued>2016-01</dcterms:issued> <dc:date rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2018-08-28T11:03:59Z</dc:date> <dcterms:hasPart rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/43134/1/Chadi_2-fhvqyzv0mqyq0.pdf"/> <dc:rights>terms-of-use</dc:rights> <dcterms:isPartOf rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/46"/> <dspace:isPartOfCollection rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/46"/> <dc:language>eng</dc:language> <dspace:hasBitstream rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/43134/1/Chadi_2-fhvqyzv0mqyq0.pdf"/> <bibo:uri rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/handle/123456789/43134"/> <dcterms:available rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2018-08-28T11:03:59Z</dcterms:available> <dc:creator>Chadi, Adrian</dc:creator> <dc:contributor>Hetschko, Clemens</dc:contributor> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
