The acceleration of the particle by the wave is calculated in detail, however, under neglection of the radiation damping. In spite of this simplification, the results are applied to a typical pulsar, where the maximum kinetic energy of accelerated protons reaches values of the order of the fastest cosmic ray particles.</dcterms:abstract> <dcterms:bibliographicCitation>ISRN High Energy Physics ; (2013). - Article ID 760983</dcterms:bibliographicCitation> <dspace:isPartOfCollection rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/41"/> <dcterms:isPartOf rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/41"/> <dc:creator>Dehnen, Heinz</dc:creator> <dcterms:available rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2014-01-09T12:24:25Z</dcterms:available> <dc:date rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2014-01-09T12:24:25Z</dc:date> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
