A network approach was used. Results indicated the importance of reciprocity and transitivity for enacted peer support during adolescence. Contrary to our expectations, gender, age and personality traits did not affect enacted peer support. No homophily effects based on gender and age were detected. However, students were found to be more supportive of students with similar personality traits. We hope this study adds to the current knowledge on peer support in adolescence and promotes the use of social theories and methods in literacy research.</dcterms:abstract> <dcterms:available rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2013-07-04T16:39:08Z</dcterms:available> <dc:rights>terms-of-use</dc:rights> <dc:language>eng</dc:language> <dcterms:title>"We Are Only as Strong as We Are United, as Weak as We Are Divided" a Dynamic Analysis of the Peer Support Networks in the Harry Potter Books</dcterms:title> <dcterms:hasPart rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/23881/2/Bossaert_238816.pdf"/> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/page/termsofuse"/> <bibo:uri rdf:resource="http://kops.uni-konstanz.de/handle/123456789/23881"/> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
