In this article, this question is explored by examining the presence of foreign business in the state. First, looking at foreign-owned business, the number of workers they employ is examined. Then, using foreign direct investment as a broader measure of globalization, a stronger presence of foreign business is identified. Finally, this trend is examined in a regional perspective, contrasting Oklahoma with neighboring states. It is found that European firms represent a strong majority of foreign business in Oklahoma and that they are concentrated in the manufacturing sector. The implications of these findings are discussed.</dcterms:abstract> <dc:contributor>Breunig, Christian</dc:contributor> <dc:creator>Breunig, Christian</dc:creator> <bibo:uri rdf:resource="http://kops.uni-konstanz.de/handle/123456789/23546"/> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/page/termsofuse"/> <dc:date rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2013-06-13T07:01:20Z</dc:date> <dcterms:issued>2000</dcterms:issued> <dc:rights>terms-of-use</dc:rights> <void:sparqlEndpoint rdf:resource="http://localhost/fuseki/dspace/sparql"/> <dspace:isPartOfCollection rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/42"/> <dc:language>eng</dc:language> <dcterms:isPartOf rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/42"/> <dcterms:available rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2013-06-13T07:01:20Z</dcterms:available> <dcterms:bibliographicCitation>Oklahoma Business Bulletin ; 68 (2000), 2. - S. 11-23</dcterms:bibliographicCitation> <foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://localhost:8080/jspui"/> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
