Existing biotechnological routes for their conversion to long-chain linear a,ro-dicarboxylic acid derivatives have recently been complemented by chemical catalytic conversions. This contribution discusses and compares the conversion of unsaturated fatty acids by olefin metathesis and by isomerizing alkoxycarbonylation, and reviews properties of resulting long-chain aliphatic polyesters. The impact of multiple unsaturated fatty acids present in technical grade plant oils is adressed.</dcterms:abstract> <dcterms:issued>2012</dcterms:issued> <dc:date rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2012-11-14T11:06:15Z</dc:date> <dcterms:title>Long-chain polyesters via chemical catalytic conversions of fatty acid esters</dcterms:title> <dc:creator>Stempfle, Florian</dc:creator> <dcterms:hasPart rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/20828/2/Stempfle_208286.pdf"/> <dc:creator>Roesle, Philipp</dc:creator> <dspace:hasBitstream rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/20828/2/Stempfle_208286.pdf"/> <dc:creator>Mecking, Stefan</dc:creator> <void:sparqlEndpoint rdf:resource="http://localhost/fuseki/dspace/sparql"/> <dc:language>eng</dc:language> <dc:rights>deposit-license</dc:rights> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
