Overexpression of Axin, a negative regulator of Wnt signaling, leads to severe defects in Drosophila wing growth and patterning (the affected wing is shown in a green pseudocolor, compared to a wild-type wing in pink). The inhibitory activity of Axin can be suppressed by co-expression of the GTP-binding protein Gαo, leading to a partial rescue in wing development (yellow). Gαo physically binds the RGS domain of Axin and recruits Axin it to the plasma membrane, antagonizing the Axin-based destruction complex.</dcterms:abstract> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource="http://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:bsz:352-20140905103605204-4002607-1"/> <dc:contributor>Egger-Adam, Diane</dc:contributor> <dcterms:bibliographicCitation>Publ. in: Developmental Dynamics 239 (2010), 1, pp. 168-183</dcterms:bibliographicCitation> <dc:contributor>Katanaev, Vladimir</dc:contributor> <dc:date rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2011-08-16T09:56:09Z</dc:date> <dcterms:title>The trimeric G protein Go inflicts a double impact on axin in the Wnt/frizzled signaling pathway</dcterms:title> <dc:creator>Egger-Adam, Diane</dc:creator> <dc:language>eng</dc:language> <dc:rights>deposit-license</dc:rights> <dcterms:available rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2011-08-16T09:56:09Z</dcterms:available> <bibo:uri rdf:resource="http://kops.uni-konstanz.de/handle/123456789/14815"/> <dc:creator>Katanaev, Vladimir</dc:creator> <dcterms:issued>2010-01</dcterms:issued> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
