It is based on self-evaluated data and it is shown in the form of a fourstaged Likert-Scale. The important issues were calculated with a factor analysis. The five main scales are:<br />"selfobject in generally" , "disadvantages through the dog" , "dog as bonding catalysists" , "education of the dog" and "Idealization of the dog".<br />The conceptualization und operationalization are based on the literature of Kohut (1971, 1977, 1984) and the explanation of the concept "selfobject". This human concept is transferred to the human-dog-attachment.
