The present study examined whether the processing of emotional target pictures varies as a function of stimulus repetition. Accordingly, pictures of erotica, neutral contents, and mutilations were repeatedly presented (90 times) while the electroencephalogram was recorded with a 129 dense sensor array. As in previous studies, emotional pictures were associated with a larger posterior negativity than neutral pictures. Furthermore, differential emotion processing did not vary as a function of stimulus repetition and was similarly expressed across blocks of picture presentation. These findings suggest the near absence of habituation in differential emotion processing during perceptual processing.</dcterms:abstract> <dc:contributor>Schupp, Harald Thomas</dc:contributor> <dc:rights>deposit-license</dc:rights> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource="http://nbn-resolving.org/urn:nbn:de:bsz:352-20140905103416863-3868037-7"/> <dc:creator>Hamm, Alfons</dc:creator> <dcterms:available rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2011-03-25T09:20:25Z</dcterms:available> <dc:contributor>Weike, Almut I.</dc:contributor> <dc:contributor>Stockburger, Jessica</dc:contributor> <dc:format>application/pdf</dc:format> <dc:creator>Codispoti, Maurizio</dc:creator> <dc:creator>Junghöfer, Markus</dc:creator> <dcterms:bibliographicCitation>First publ. in: Neuroreport 17 (2006) - 365-369</dcterms:bibliographicCitation> <bibo:uri rdf:resource="http://kops.uni-konstanz.de/handle/123456789/10647"/> <dc:creator>Stockburger, Jessica</dc:creator> <dcterms:issued>2006</dcterms:issued> <dc:creator>Schupp, Harald Thomas</dc:creator> <dc:date rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2011-03-25T09:20:25Z</dc:date> <dc:creator>Weike, Almut I.</dc:creator> <dc:contributor>Junghöfer, Markus</dc:contributor> <dc:contributor>Hamm, Alfons</dc:contributor> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
