Further, especially rhenium(I) and manganese(I) tricarbonyl complexes with such ligands are of interest for the development of new radiopharmaceuticals. In this work, new monoanionic N,N,O-heteroscorpionate ligands based on pyrazole, oxazoline, and imidazole are presented. These ligands were applied in the synthesis of rhenium(I) and manganese(I) tricarbonyl complexes. The complexes were studied by spectroscopic methods and X-ray diffractometry. The results were compared to those of DFT calculations. N,N,O ligands with a low steric demand tend to form bisligand complexes or coordination polymers, which are catalytically inactive. Therefore, an imidazole-based N,N,O ligand was integrated into polymers. The coordination behaviour of the polymer-bound ligand towards rhenium(I) and manganese(I) remains unchanged. By the formation of copper(II) complexes it was shown that the formation of bisligand complexes was prevented. Furthermore, manganese(II) and iron(II) complexes with N,N-chelate ligands based on imidazole were synthesised and characterised. One of these ligands was integrated into polymers.
