In the present contribution a model for measuring social norms is discussed. This model allows to measure norms and attitudes independently of each other. A measurement model which meets this presupposition implies precise assumptions regarding the way how attitudes and norms act together and how subgroup norms are differentiated from group norms. The more heterogeneous a group is, the narrower are the c1asses of situations for which the group has developed an invariant norm. An empirical test of the model is concerned with norms that parents developed for the evaluation of "negatively intended" (aggressive) acts in educational settings.
Zusammenfassung in einer weiteren Sprache
In dieser Arbeit wird über ein Modell zur Messung sozialer Normen berichtet, das die Messung von Normen unabhängig von den Einstellungen der untersuchten Personen erlaubt. Ein Meßmodell, das diese Voraussetzung erfüllt, impliziert präzise Annahmen sowohl über das Zusammenwirken von Einstellungen und Normen als auch über die Ausdifferenzierung von Normen. Je heterogener eine Gruppe ist, desto enger sind die Sachverhaltsbereiche, bezüglich derer gemeinsame Normen ausgebildet werden. In der empirischen Erprobung des Modells werden ehepaarspezifische Normen der Bewertung negativ intendierter Handlungen in Erziehungskontexten untersucht.
