Zusammenfassung

Canadian Studies has firmly established itself at Canadian universities during the 1970s – and has also been gaining ground in Europe. In this pioneering volume, European scholars of Canadian literature offer a fascinating vista on the state of Canadian Studies in Europe. The first section of the book features articles on Canadian writers and their works, such as Rudy Wiebe, Margaret Atwood, Aritha van Herk, Alice Munro, and Stephen Leacock. The second section presents a first-time survey of the organizational state of Canadian Studies in Europe, investigating programs and publications on Canadian Literature in Europe, structured by individual countries.
