Zusammenfassung
Today’s biological scientists would struggle without advanced imaging and analysis techniques. Together with the highly-developed optics and measurement technologies often found in modern microscopy systems, these techniques provide hundreds of gigabytes of images and videos. In turn, there is an increasing requirement for complex analysis software solutions that can automatically manage, process and analyse the huge volume of data generated; these tools must make data available online to a large circle of users. Clever combinations of individual open-source software projects enable particularly efficient solutions for complex image analysis problems.
