Zusammenfassung
The goal of the present study was to explore the antecedents of students boredom at school from the perspectives of both students and teachers. Two studies were conducted using parallel versions of semi-structured interview questionnaires among a sample of 111 9th-grade students and a separate sample of 178 9th-grade teachers. Students and teachers statements were categorized and quantified separately in order to compare them with each other afterwards. We also administered a quantitative questionnaire to the teachers asking for their agreement with the students categories. Both the comparison of students and teachers categories and the results of the quantitative questionnaire showed a high correspondence of the two perspectives, which may have valuable implications for educational practice.
