Zusammenfassung
The adsorption and decomposition behaviors of dimethyl methylphosphate (DMMP) on size‐selected (WO3)3 clusters were studied by a combination of X‐ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and Temperature Programmed Reaction (TPR). The fate of DMMP adsorbed on (WO3)3 clusters was found to be very similar to its fate on (MoO3)3. In contrast to DMMP on (MoO3)3, however, dimethyl ether was observed as a product in the reaction of DMMP with (WO3)3, in addition to methanol, due to the higher Lewis acidity of (WO3)3 clusters as compared to (MoO3)3.
