Zusammenfassung

This chapter describes the use of interactive statistical graphics such as bar charts, histograms, scatterplots, etc. It briefly outlines their history, and enumerates the important features of an interactive graphic: simplicity, focusing on data, robustness and integration. The Linked views paradigm is expounded on and a demonstration of a set of interactive views is given using a well-known set of baseball data.
