Zusammenfassung
The importance of teacher education for the quality of teaching and thus for students’ learning success has increased significantly in recent decades, which is reflected not only in the intensive scientific discourse on teacher education but also in the educational policy agenda. Even though institutionalized teacher education has a long tradition in many countries, it has been subject to numerous transformations and ongoing reforms in the European context.
