Zusammenfassung
Following an increase in phosphorus concentrations in many European prealpine lakes during the 1960s and 1970s, levels dropped at the end of the 20th century due to lake restoration measures, a process termed re-oligotrophication. In parallel, the characteristic salmonid fish communities were reestablished, which are generally dominated by coregonids. Reduced lake productivity at Ptot,-Ievels below 30 μg L-1, however, leads to slower growth of corcgonids than under eutrophic conditions. At even lower nutrient levels (
