Zusammenfassung

This work discusses an enantioselective total synthesis of Ervatamia alkaloids. It relies on an enzyme-catalyzed desymmetrization approach for the installation of chirality. The indole moiety is introduced by a palladium catalyzed C-H activation at a cyclopropane. The cyclopropane is converted into the cyclohepta[b]indole structure of the natural products by a divinylcyclopropane-cycloheptadiene rearrangement. The piperidine moiety is closed by Heck-reaction.
