El presente texto debe comprenderse como un aporte metodológico al debate acerca de la aplicación de procedimientos de análisis del discurso en la sociología. Se propone considerar las contribuciones de la teoría de la relevancia de Alfred Schutz a este campo de investigación. Un estudio anterior del autor, en la cual se aplica la teoría de la relevancia en el marco de un análisis empírico del discurso, constituye el trasfondo de las reflexiones aquí vertidas. Se introducen ejemplos de este estudio para ilustrar las consideraciones teóricas del artículo.
Zusammenfassung in einer weiteren Sprache
The present paper is to be understood as a methodological contribution to the debate on the application of procedures of discourse analysis in sociology. The paper proposes to consider the contributions of Alfred Schutz’s theory of relevance to this field of research, in view of the fact that this account tends to be neglected in the most relevant methodological books on the field. An earlier study by the author, in which he applies the theory of relevance to a discourse analysis, constitutes the background of the reflections contained here. Examples of this study are used to illustrate the theoretical thoughts of this paper.
