Zusammenfassung
The slow dynamics of dense liquids close to a glass transition is strongly influenced by external fields. We discuss the nonlinear response of glass-forming model colloidal suspensions to external forces, applied either globally as an imposed shear stress ("creep" experiment), or locally as a single-particle driving force (“micro-rheology” setup).
