This bachelor thesis presents the import of an XML Schema into the XQuery type system. The different components of XML Schema can be translated into the XQuery types using a number of mapping rules. This rules can be plugged together by a state machine, which is based on a state table. The transformation is driven by a SAX-parser, which tokenizes a given XML Schema and controls the state machine with its events.

In dieser Bachelorarbeit wird die Realisierung des XML Schema Import in das XQuery Typsystem beschrieben. Es werden eine Reihe von Abbildungsregeln vorgestellt, welche die einzelnen Komponenten von XML Schema nach XQuery abbilden. Die Kombination der Abbildungsregeln wird von einem endlichen Automaten bewerkstelligt, der durch die Entwicklung einer Zustandstabelle umgesetzt ist. Mit Hilfe von SAX wird die Zerlegung eines XML Schema in seine Komponenten sowie die Steuerung der Zustandstabelle vollzogen.
