Abstract
Eine Besonderheit der Organisationsentwicklung in der Bibliothek der Universität Konstanz ist die große Bedeutung, die der Datenverarbeitung zukam und zukommt. Nicht die Software wurde an die Arbeitsabläufe der Bibliothek angepaßt, sondern die Arbeitsorganisation daraufhin modifiziert, daß die Effektivitätspotentiale der EDV zum Tragen kommen können. Das hat zu einer gänzlich neuen Struktur und zu gewachsenen Arbeitsanforderungen für die Mitarbeiter geführt. Dieser Veränderungsprozeß steht jedoch immer wieder an und muß innerbetrieblich gesteuert und professionell bewerkstelligt werden.
