Unfledged Quality Management, problems of information overflow, and the insufficient filing of information make the use of the internet for research and development more difficult. Within the framework of this work, with the characteristics of scientific communication forums as a starting point, a criteria catalogue is developed, upon the foundations of which a quality appraisal can take place. In order to test the feasibility of the criteria catalogue, an exemplarily evaluation of two platforms of scientific communication forums, using the tool evalYOUate, will be carried out. Chosen for the evaluation was the project NetAcademy founded at the Institute for Media and Communication Management at the University of St. Gallen, and the Virtual Institute of Information founded at the Columbia Institute for Tele-Information at Columbia Business School, Columbia University, New York.
Zusammenfassung in einer weiteren Sprache
Nicht ausgereiftes Qualitätsmanagement, Probleme der Überflutung durch Informationen, und nur ungenügende Archivierung der Informationen erschweren die Nutzung des Internets für Forschung und Wissenschaft. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wird deshalb, ausgehend von den Merkmalen von Foren der Wissenschaftskommunikation ein Kriterienkatalog erarbeitet, auf dessen Grundlage eine Qualitätsbewertung von Foren der Wissenschaftskommunikation erfolgen kann. Um die Ausführbarkeit des Kriterienkataloges zu testen, wird unter der Verwendung des Tools evalYOUate eine exemplarische Bewertung zweier Plattformen der Foren der Wissenschaftskommunikation durchgeführt. Ausgewählt für die Bewertung wurden das am Institut für Medien- und Kommunikationsmanagement an der Universität St. Gallen gegründete Projekt NetAcademy, sowie das am Columbia Institute for Tele-Information at Columbia Business School, Columbia University in New York betriebene Virtual Institute of Information
