Zusammenfassung

Unload your molecules and drive on! While fluorescence correlation spectroscopy is a workhorse of studies down to the single molecule level, CARS delivers results without the need of fluorescent labeling: Only the unladen molecules are studied. Further, the narrow detection volume, low excitation intensity, and wide range of detectable species makes this an attractive technique especially for biophysical and colloid studies of small particles.
