dc.description.abstractThis dataset holds the raw and processed/visualized dataset of the human-swarm intercation casestudy as part of the  publication "Real-Time Human Interaction with Virtual Swarms in Shared Physical Space" by Mezey & Bartashevich et al.   The CoBeXRExperimentDataRaw contains the raw, anonymized dataset including continous movement data of the human participant and the virtual swarm. Each folder contains a single experiment with either one or two participants. The ID of the experiment is the foldername.   In case of a single participant, only a single folder "P1" is included. For experiments with two participants 3 folders, P1, P2, and SH are included. P1 and P2 folders contain individual rounds, while SH folders contain paired rounds. In case of paired rounds, "notes.txt" contains the mapping between participant ID (1 or 2) and the corresponding actor point ID in the csv file. Csv files in each folder contain the recorded x and y coordinates of actor poin/s) and virtual prey.   This raw dataset has been slipt into individual bouts of the participants. On one hand, this bout-level dataset and the corresponding calculated metrics (see main text) are organized into a h5 database (CoBeBoutData.h5). For further information how this file is structured please see the H5README.docx file.   To visualize the data and the recorded metrics for each individual bout, we rendered a video for each bout. We included these videos and the underlying data as  csv files in CoBeBoutVisualization.zip with the same folder structure as the raw dataset, but additionally having subfolders for each individual bout.This study was funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) under Germany’s Excellence Strategy – EXC 2002/1 “Science of Intelligence” – project number 390523135. The funder played no role in study design, data collection, analysis and interpretation of data, or the writing of this manuscript.
