We concentrate here on the study of reversible conductance changes which can be as high as 200%. We investigate the dependence on the initial conductance of the contacts, the wavelenght, the intensity and position of the laser spot with respect to the sample. Under most conditions an enhancement of the conductance is observed. We discuss several physical mechanisms which might contribute to the observed effect including thermal expansion, rectification and photon-assisted transport. We conclude that thermal expansion is not the dominating one.</dcterms:abstract> <dc:date rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2011-03-24T17:55:01Z</dc:date> <void:sparqlEndpoint rdf:resource="http://localhost/fuseki/dspace/sparql"/> <dcterms:hasPart rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/9268/1/364_guhr10_pr.pdf"/> <dc:creator>Boneberg, Johannes</dc:creator> <dc:rights>terms-of-use</dc:rights> <bibo:uri rdf:resource="http://kops.uni-konstanz.de/handle/123456789/9268"/> <dcterms:bibliographicCitation>First publ. in: Journal of Microscopy 229 (2008), 3, pp. 407-414</dcterms:bibliographicCitation> <dspace:isPartOfCollection rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/52"/> <dc:contributor>Boneberg, Johannes</dc:contributor> <dc:contributor>Leiderer, Paul</dc:contributor> <dc:contributor>Scheer, Elke</dc:contributor> <dspace:hasBitstream rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/9268/1/364_guhr10_pr.pdf"/> <dc:format>application/pdf</dc:format> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource="https://rightsstatements.org/page/InC/1.0/"/> <dcterms:issued>2008</dcterms:issued> <dc:contributor>Erbe, Artur</dc:contributor> <dc:creator>Guhr, Daniel C.</dc:creator> <foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://localhost:8080/jspui"/> <dcterms:isPartOf rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/52"/> <dc:creator>Rettinger, Dennis</dc:creator> <dc:language>eng</dc:language> <dc:creator>Scheer, Elke</dc:creator> <dc:contributor>Rettinger, Dennis</dc:contributor> <dspace:isPartOfCollection rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/41"/> <dc:creator>Leiderer, Paul</dc:creator> <dc:contributor>Guhr, Daniel C.</dc:contributor> <dcterms:isPartOf rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/rdf/resource/123456789/41"/> <dcterms:title>Influence of chopped laser light onto the electronic transport through atomic-sized contacts</dcterms:title> <dcterms:available rdf:datatype="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema#dateTime">2011-03-24T17:55:01Z</dcterms:available> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
