Experiments carried out in different atmospheres (ambient air, dry N2, dry O2) suggest that the growth is directly related to the presence of a thin physisorbed water layer on the surface of WSe2. Furthermore examinations under different scanning and bias conditions show that the electric field of the tip induces the growth of these nanometer structures.</dcterms:abstract> <dc:language>eng</dc:language> <dc:creator>Boneberg, Johannes</dc:creator> <dcterms:bibliographicCitation>First publ. in: Zeitschrift für Physik / B, 99 (1996), 4, pp. 567-570</dcterms:bibliographicCitation> <void:sparqlEndpoint rdf:resource="http://localhost/fuseki/dspace/sparql"/> <foaf:homepage rdf:resource="http://localhost:8080/jspui"/> <dc:creator>Burmeister, Frank</dc:creator> <dcterms:rights rdf:resource="https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.0/legalcode"/> <dc:contributor>Lux-Steiner, Martha Christina</dc:contributor> <dspace:hasBitstream rdf:resource="https://kops.uni-konstanz.de/bitstream/123456789/8876/1/168_zphysB_1996.pdf"/> <dc:rights>terms-of-use</dc:rights> <dc:creator>Lux-Steiner, Martha Christina</dc:creator> </rdf:Description> </rdf:RDF>
